Class of: 2013
Hometown and High School: Atlanta, GA; St. Francis High School
Major/Minor: Sociology with a concentration in Gender and Sexuality
I chose to attend Georgia State University because of the diversity and the fact that it is a leading research institution with nationally ranked programs in Law and Business.
Campus Activities and Organizations: Campus Events Public Relations Director, Lead Team Staff, 2010 Inceptor (orientation leader), Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity, Student Government Association, Spotlight Programs Board
Most Memorable Georgia State Experience: Being able to meet all of the new freshmen students during my time as an Inceptor. To see such motivated, intelligent, and diverse students coming to Georgia State makes me so happy.
If you could be a cartoon character, who would you be and why? If I could be a cartoon character I would be Simba from The Lion King! I would be Simba because honestly I would love to spend my days running through the jungle.
Favorite Georgia State Tradition: FOOTBALL! A new tradition but a great one to have.
What advice would you give to incoming students? The best advice I can offer to incoming students is to take control of your time at GSU. Get involved in student organizations, make great friends, and enjoy every minute because in a school of over 31,000 students your experience will be what you make it!
After I graduate from Georgia State, I hope to enroll in our nationally ranked Law School and continue on to a career in corporate law in the Atlanta Area and see where life takes me.
