A leading research university in Atlanta, Georgia

I chose to attend Georgia State University because I was looking for something different that also offered me real opportunities. I wanted to break away from the norm, and with its diverse student body, downtown location, and blossoming campus life, Georgia State was exactly what I needed.

Campus Activities and Organizations: I am a brother of Sigma Nu Fraternity, serving as Brotherhood Chairman and GSU Grappling Club 2009-2010. Currently looking to broaden my horizons on campus!

Most Memorable Georgia State experience: My entire Freshman year! Meeting new people, going new places, trying new things, being away from home. There was always something fun going on at the Commons, and living on campus meant there were always people to see and things to do.

If you could be a cartoon character, who would you be and why? I would have to be Wolverine from X-men. I mean, come on... The dude possesses animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, can recover from virtually any wound, and has three retracting bone claws on each hand. I've also been told from time to time that we share a slight resemblance.

Favorite Georgia State tradition: Tuesdays and Thursdays in the plaza during the lunch break. There's almost always something going on, and I especially like the local music scene being able to put some shows on.

What advice would you give to incoming students? Grades, grades, grades, grades! Good ones of course. Getting the right start as a freshman can be really beneficial in the long run. Oh, and look both ways before crossing!

After I graduate from Georgia State, I hope to become a successful interior designer and start my own firm, so I can own all my dream cars and have a personal garage.
