MOTOR VEHICLE REGSITRATION
GENERAL INFORMATION To reduce your chances of being fined, a valid parking permit should be displayed at all times (as required) from the rear view mirror or on the driver's side of the dashboard. Any vehicle parked without a valid permit is subject to a citation, booting, and/or towing.
It is the driver's responsibility to find a legally marked parking space and to park the entire vehicle within the space's boundary lines. Lack of finding a parking space is not considered a valid excuse for violating any parking regulations. All individuals shall comply with all campus parking regulations when parking a vehicle at a University parking facility.
Motorcycles, mopeds, and bicycles may only be parked in designated areas. No parking on sidewalks.
If a vehicle is sold or traded, the registrant is responsible for retaining the parking hangtag or permit and notifying Auxiliary and Support Services of the change in vehicles.
Georgia State University assumes no responsibility for vehicles or the protection of any vehicle or its contents at any time. Valuable contents should be stored out of sight.
VEHICLE REGISTRATION
Only currently enrolled students and employees of the University may register vehicles to park on-campus. Faculty and Staff may register their vehicles and obtain a parking permit in person at Auxiliary and Support Services. Students who will be residents in the University Commons or the Freshman Residence Facility should contact the Housing Office at 404-413-1800 to inquire about vehicle parking. Students who wish to park on-campus are required to register their vehicle(s) online, at www.gsu.edu/parking.

Parking permits will be distributed at the Auxiliary and Support Services Customer Service Windows to those with a valid PantherCard. Visitor parking is available at M Deck, G Deck, K Deck, N Deck, and S Deck on a space available basis. University Departments or groups requesting multiple visitor parking arrangements or parking for special events, should submit the visitor parking form to confirm space and location availability for your visitor(s) or event(s). For more than 50 visitors, a special events form will be necessary. Special events forms are available at www.gsu.edu/parking and should be submitted to the Parking and Transportation office, within 24 hours in advance of the event.
VEHICLE REGISTRATION PARKING PERMITS
There is no charge for the initial vehicle registration parking permit that will provide student parking at Turner Field at no additional cost. However, Budget Cards and other parking deck specific permits are available for additional costs as listed herein. More than one vehicle may be registered, but only one parking permit will be issued per person to be transferred to the vehicle that is being driven when parking on-campus. Return of M Deck and Lofts Non-Resident semester permits is required at the end of each semester to avoid a related $25 fee for non-return.
BUDGET CARD PERMITS (BUDGET CARDS)
(Allowing parking access in assigned locations)
A Budget Card is a pre-paid parking access permit that saves $1 per entry off the regular parking rate. Budget Cards can be obtained from the Auxiliary and Support Services Customer Service Windows, and can be used during authorized times at all University parking locations except the Lofts Deck. An initial minimum $7 deposit is required to activate the card; additional value can be added at any time during regular customer service hours. When usage is discontinued, return of Budget Cards to Auxiliary and Support Services is required to avoid a $25 fee for non-return. Any remaining balance can be processed for a refund.
REPLACEMENT OF LOST, DAMAGED OR STOLEN PERMITS
Lost, damaged, or stolen permits may be replaced for a $25 replacement fee. The replacement fee may be waived in cases where an official police jurisdiction theft report in the name of the Budget Card or parking permit holder is present.
