
Ms. Bernardino serves as the managing director for the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) in the Robinson College of Business. As the key administrator for the Center, she plans and implements numerous initiatives, tracks progress towards goals, monitors center budgets, advises the Executive Director in budgetary matters, and plans workshops for the Southeast U.S. Higher Education Consortium for International Business. She joined Georgia State in 2005 and served as the director of study abroad programs before joining CIBER. In her role as director of study abroad programs, Farrah made valuable advancements to study abroad at Georgia State, including securing and implementing the StudioAbroad software application system, significantly increasing the funding available for study abroad scholarships, and increasing the number of study abroad programs.
Farrah received her BA in Spanish from Emory University and MA in Spanish Literature from the University of Virginia. She is an active member of NAFSA (Association of International Educators) and has presented on a range of topics at various international education conferences. Farrah is a strong proponent of leadership opportunities for female staff, such as the Executive Leadership Academy for Women (ELAW) and enjoys engaging with the accomplished women of ELAW on a monthly basis.

Dr. Amy Moore oversees the Georgia Research Alliance’s research initiatives, focusing on program evaluation and outcomes reporting. Prior to joining the GRA, Dr. Moore was the Director of Research Programs for the Georgia Cancer Coalition, where she oversaw the operation and evaluation of the flagship Distinguished Cancer Clinicians and Scientists program, the statewide tissue and tumor bank initiative, and the state’s Cancer Research Awards seed grant program.
Dr. Moore holds a Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and a B.S. in biology from Furman University. She was an American Cancer Society-funded postdoctoral fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she researched molecular mechanisms of acute leukemia development. In addition to her background as a research scientist, Dr. Moore holds a certificate in research administration from Georgia State University. Dr. Moore is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Biology at Georgia State University and most recently taught an Honors 1000 seminar class entitled “Cancer: Past, Present, Future.” She is a past participant in Georgia State University’s Advancement of Women Mentoring Program.

Heather Jacobs has been the Assistant Director of the Executive Doctorate in Business program at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business since its first cohort was recruited in 2009. She is responsible for student services, operations, strategy, recruitment and financials. She was brought to Georgia State University and Robinson College to coordinate the first annual Global Strategic Leadership Forum with former Coca-Cola CEO, Neville Isdell, and heads of major organizations such as the Federal Reserve Bank and the World Wildlife Fund. This program was created and produced by the World Affairs Council of Atlanta under the direction of Dr. A. Wayne Lord and Dr. Cedric Suzman, the former leaders of the Southern Center for International Studies. Ms. Jacobs had served as their key program manager at the Southern Center, where she was responsible for planning and delivery of events for Fortune 500 companies, CEOs, Secretaries of State, and foreign ambassadors.
Heather received a BS in psychology from the University of Georgia and is working towards her MBA at Georgia State University. She is most passionate about leadership, effective management and the keys to empowering individuals to find self-fulfillment. She enjoys working with people from all over the world and learning about new cultures and cuisines.

Jenifer Shockley is the assistant director of communications and marketing for the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. In this role she promotes the college to internal and external audiences including students, prospects, alumni and influencers; supports graduate and undergraduate programs, academic departments, research centers, executive education and the World Affairs Council of Atlanta; and produces an award-winning biannual magazine, State of Business. She also writes press releases, brochures and web content, along with faculty and alumni profiles; generates national and local press coverage; raises awareness of special events and manages social media. She joined Robinson in 2008.
Prior to academia Jenifer spent her career as a public relations counselor on the agency side. Her tenure included appointments as senior vice president at two of the world’s largest public relations firms, Edelman and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide. She serviced a client portfolio including Better World Books, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dell, MCI Consumer Markets, Microsoft, the National Institutes of Health, Pfizer Consumer Health, the Society of American Florists and T-Mobile.
She holds a BA in English with a minor in art history from the University of Virginia and studied for a summer at Trinity College, University of Oxford.
As assistant director, Heather Bond manages both the marketing and communications team and data and technology team for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. She oversees all print and electronic communications for prospective and admitted students and parents, from brochures to email and phone campaigns to social media. She also supervises the office's data and technology team, which is responsible for the prospect management database, reporting for internal and external offices, and quality control of student data. Prior to accepting her position with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Heather served as Senior Educational Program Specialist for the Honors College here at Georgia State.
Heather received her B.A. and M.A. from GSU in English Literature. This summer marked Heather's first Noel-Levitz conference presentation - at the 2012 National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing and Retention. In her free time, Heather is an avid runner; after competing in several 5Ks, 10Ks, a half marathon, and a triathlon, she has her sights set on her first marathon in 2013.
Heather feels honored to have had the opportunity to take part in the myriad changes at Georgia State as both a proud alumna and staff member, and she looks forward to continuing to support GSU in its growth and development as a competitive research university.

Miriam Jackson serves as the Director of Classification and Compensation. Miriam has over fifteen years of human resources experience in various industries such as: higher education, state and local government, as well as the financial sector. Miriam began her career at Georgia State in 1997 as a Classification and Compensation Analyst. She left in 1999 to join the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice where she advised management and staff on employment, classification and compensation issues, testing, and FMLA compliance issues. She returned to Georgia State in 2006 as a Classification and Compensation Analyst and moved up in ranks through the years to her current position of Director. Most recently, Miriam was selected to serve as a Staff Council Member for a second term and chairs the council’s Staff Development and Advancement Committee. Miriam is also a Staff Senator and serves on the Senate Budget and University Statutes and By-Laws Committees.
Miriam holds an MBA in Human Resources from Walden University, a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Morgan State University, and Associate degree in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu – Atlanta and certified by the American Culinary Federation. She owns and operates her own personal chef/catering business entitled MJ Delights, LLC. She specializes in various cuisines and desserts. With 24 flavors of cheesecakes under her belt, she is well-liked by her co-workers, who serve as her taste testers.
Miriam is very excited about being selected to participate in the Executive Leadership Academy for Women. She looks forward to all the exciting workshops that will take place during the year and using the newly acquired knowledge and skills to enhance her service to the University.
Dr. Laura Crawley, Director of the Executive MBA Program in the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, has more than 15 years of experience in various academic roles. While teaching and pursuing her doctorate at Emory University, Laura served at Georgia Perimeter College as a student affairs administrator. She then became a founding editor for a well-respected academic journal based out of Boston University before joining a branding consultancy as Director of Program Development. In that role, Laura consulted with non-profit institutions, including many universities and private schools, across the United States. Laura volunteers as the board chair for a new public charter school in DeKalb County, DeKalb Preparatory Academy, which is scheduled to open its doors for the 2012-2013 school year. Originally from Austin, Texas, Laura lives with her family in Decatur.

Kike Ehigiator (pronounced “kee kéh A-hee-gee-a-tor) is the Director for International Initiatives and Partnerships in the Office of International Initiatives (OII). In her role Kike coordinates and implements new international initiatives, including some new China initiatives. She manages the initiation, renewal, and termination of international partnership agreements as well as the annual International Strategic Initiatives (ISI) seed grants program. Kike also represents OII on a multi-unit project dubbed Global Gateway, an online tool for reviewing GSU’s international engagement across the globe.
Kike has worked at Georgia State for close to 10 years. Prior to her employment at GSU, Kike served as the Institute Liaison and Team Lead for both the Institute of Gender and Health, and the Rural and Northern Health Strategic Programs, at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Ottawa, Canada. She holds Bachelor’s degrees from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, Canada and a Master’s degree in International Development Studies from St. Mary's University, Halifax, Canada.
Kike believes she will learn and grow as a participant in the Executive Leadership Academy for Women (ELAW) program. She looks forward to meeting and working with other female staff and getting to know the university more.
Patti StilsonIn addition to her BA and MA, her other educational and training achievements include a Management Development Certificate from Georgia Tech, and Facilities Management Certificate from the Association of Physical Plant Administrators.
Since joining Georgia State University Facilities Management, Patti has earned Sustainability Facilities Manager certificate from the International Facilities Management Association; and is currently an active member of Sustainability of the Sustainability Senate Committee.
Shantina KnoxMs. Knox is the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions for the Office of Graduating Recruiting and Student Services in Robinson College of Business. She oversees the admission process for the Flexible MBA, Specialized Masters, and a few premier programs. Ms. Knox works closely with a team of four to ensure applications are processed efficiently and effectively. Shantina began working at GSU in 2001 in the College of Education- Graduate Admissions Office. She earned a BBA in Information Technology from Georgia Southern University and a MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Georgia State University. Shantina also holds a Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning. She is a 2005 Alumnus of GSU’s 1st Leadership Academy for Women and is excited to be a participant in the 1st Executive Leadership Academy for women at GSU.
Renata IrvingRenata has over 14 years working with graphic design. Before she accepted her position with Georgia State University she worked as an Associate Creative Director for Whole Foods Market South Region where she oversaw thirty graphic designers at eighteen stores across five states. While at GSU and Whole Foods Market, Renata has received multiple awards acknowledging professionalism and commitment to her career. At the core Renata is an artist who has extensive experience and education in fine arts, multimedia design, photography, and print. She has a passion for collaboration and is uniquely skilled in bringing the best out of her co-workers when it comes to creativity, efficiency, and productivity.
