Event Description:
Joyce Many, associate dean of undergraduate studies and educator preparation, will lead a forum entitled, “Georgia’s Teacher and Leader Evaluation Systems: Educator Preparation Open Forum,” on Oct. 30 as part of the Professional Development Wednesdays Speaker Series.

This forum will review the teacher and leader evaluation systems and the efforts by Georgia institutions and Georgia State departments to integrate attention to these in preparation programs. Following the introduction, faculty will be encouraged to share their experiences, concerns and/or questions.

The speaker series is coordinated by Susan Ogletree through the Educational Research Bureau and in collaboration with Joyce Many, associate dean of undergraduate studies and educator preparation; Steve Harmon, chair of the Learning Technologies Division; and with input from College of Education Interim Dean Paul Alberto and chairs of the College of Education’s six departments.

Professional Development Wednesdays are held at 12 noon (unless otherwise noted) in the College of Education Forum, room 1030. Information about the speakers is available to the general public on the college’s website at http://education.gsu.edu and all presentations will be available for download at iTunes U.
