Event Description:
Lydia Davis is the 2013 recipient of the Man Booker International Award, a MacArthur Fellow, a National Book Award finalist, and a Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters. She won the 2011 French-American Foundation Translation Prize for her translation of Madame Bovary and the 2003 French-American Foundation Translation Prize for her translation of Marcel Proust’s Swann’s Way. Her Collected Stories was one of the most acclaimed books of 2009.
