The Dan E. Sweat Distinguished Lecture Series began in 2004 as part of the memorial to Dan Sweat’s visionary leadership and commitment to learning in all forms. The lecture series is hosted by the Dan E. Sweat Distinguished Chair, David L. Sjoquist, The Fiscal Research Center of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, Georgia State University Department of Educational Policy Studies, and The Civic League for Regional Atlanta.
