Core Curriculum

All Georgia State students are required to complete the core curriculum in order to meet the requirements for graduation. The core curriculum consists of the following:

  • Area A: Written Communication/Mathematics (9-10 credit hours total)
  • Area B: Institutional Foundations (4 credit hours total)
  • Area C: Humanities and Fine Arts (6 credit hours total)
  • Area D: Natural and Computational Sciences (11 credit hours total)
  • Area E: Social Science (12 credit hours total)
  • Area F: Lower Division Major Requirements (18 credit hours total)
