 2. Set up your Georgia State e-mail account. Set this up right away to make sure you're on track. Remember that Georgia State will send all important e-mails to your Georgia State e-mail address. Start using the PAWS web portal to access your student records on the One Stop Shop tab as well as other university resources.
 3. Apply for housing and submit your housing deposit, if desired. Learn more about our housing options here.
 4. Apply for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and put in Georgia State's code (001574) at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
Always apply, even if you don't think you qualify. This will allow opportunity for the HOPE scholarship and other financial aid possibilities. (Note: postbaccalaureate and transient students typically won't qualify for financial assistance.) Obtain your governmental financial aid pin for FAFSA at http://www.pin.ed.gov/.
 5. Once you've finalized your college plans, submit your intent to enroll form by June 1 for fall entry, Jan. 2 for spring entry, or May 1 for summer entry. No payment is necessary at that time.
 6. Submit required immunization for MMR, Tetanus/Diphtheria, Varicella and Hepatitis B. Fax the completed immunization form [PDF] to 404-413-1955 prior to class registration.  7. Verify your citizenship and lawful presence. All admitted students who plan to enroll must comply with the Citizenship Verification and Lawful Presence requirements detailed here.
 8. Schedule math and/or chemistry placement test, depending on major. To determine your testing requirements and to register for test(s), log in to your PAWS account and click on the One Stop Shop tab to select Placement Tests. You are required to obtain your Panther Card ID and present it at the time of your test. Contact the Panther Card Office for details.
 9. Sign up for INCEPT, our mandatory new student orientation. The earliest INCEPT date will provide you with the most classes to choose from for your college schedule.
 10. Review your financial aid package in PAWS in the Financial Aid block. You must accept/deny aid as needed. Check remaining balance due and pay your bill by the deadline.
