Meet the Directors

We are pleased that you are considering Georgia State University as your institution of higher learning, and my hope is that you will explore all that this outstanding urban institution has to offer. We invite you to tour our campus and meet some of our students, faculty and staff.

Scott Burke

Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Admissions

I hold a bachelor's degree from North Adams State College ('95) in Business Administration and a M.Ed from Northeastern University ('07), Boston, MA, in Higher Education Administration.

Prior to my arrival at Georgia State, I worked at North Adams State College for two years. I then spent nine and a half years in Boston working at Northeastern University before moving south to work at Clayton State University for a year and a half. I chose the admissions field because it provided me the opportunity to work with students from all walks of life and backgrounds along with many wonderful travel opportunities. In fact, I have visited over 30 states and traveled to 15 different countries as an admissions professional.

Georgia State University is an exciting place to be and my staff and I look forward to helping you learn about all that awaits you here.
