Completion of all College Prep Curriculum requirements with exception of the final units of English, math, social science and science. These requirements may be fulfilled through successful completion of approved Georgia State courses.
1. Submit Undergraduate Application for Admission.
Students are encouraged to apply online.
2. Submit Non-Refundable Application Fee of $60.00.
3. Submit Test Scores Electronically.
SAT Requirements: 530 Verbal (Critical Reading); 530 Math
ACT Requirements: 23 English; 22 Math
GPA Requirements: 3.0
Students must have a Freshman Index (FI) of 2600 or higher. The FI is based on a combination of SAT/ACT scores and high school grade point average (HSGPA) in college preparatory classes only. The FI formula using SAT scores is SAT FI = (500 x HSGPA) + SAT Verbal + SAT Math. The FI formula using ACT scores is ACT FI = (500 x HSGPA) + (ACT composite x 42) + 88. In calculating the HSGPA for FI purposes, the applicant's transcript is calculated upon only 17 of the academic (college preparatory) courses taken such as English, mathematics, science, social studies, and foreign language.
4. Submit Official High School Transcripts.
High schools must send transcripts through official mail or electronically through GAcollege411.
5. Apply to the Accel Program for funding from the Georgia Student Finance Commission. This step must be completed electronically by clicking here.
6. Have your high school counselor, registrar, or other appropriate high school official complete Part II of the Accel application. This step will provide general information about the high school and will list the courses from the approved course directory from which the student will receive high school credit provided a corresponding college course is completed for credit.
