Post-Baccalaureate: Undergraduate Degree from Foreign Institution

If you wish to enter Georgia State as a post-baccalaureate student and have completed an undergraduate degree at an accredited foreign institution, please apply following the steps below:

  1. Complete the online application and submit the non-refundable $60 application fee. You may also print, complete, and submit the PDF version of the application.
  2. Have the final transcript from the institution granting your degree evaluated by an Evaluation Service.
    • If you do not have your transcript evaluated by Josef Silny, you must also submit the original copy of your transcript.
  3. If English is not your first language, you must submit your TOEFL or GSTEP scores.
  4. Submit the appropriate documents depending on your legal status:
    • Non-immigrant visa holders: submit a copy of your I-94 card or U.S visa showing current status.

Students on any visa type other than permanent residents are considered non-immigrant visa holders.

      • If you are on a B1, B2, F1, F2, or J1 visa, you must also complete the International Applicant Immigration Form (PDF) and submit all additional documents listed on the form, including an official statement from the academic department you wish to enter at Georgia State explaining the objective of your non-degree course of study.
    • Permanent residents: submit a copy of both sides of your Green Card
    • Undocumented students: notify the Office of Undergraduate Admissions of your status. This has no influence over your admission decision, but we must be aware of your status in order to proceed with your application.
  5. Read the International Supplemental Information Packet (PDF).

Please note that financial aid is typically not available for post-baccalaureate students.

Post-baccalaureate students may receive a student visa valid for up to one year.
