Freshmen: American Citizen Educated Outside the U.S.

If you are an American citizen/permanent resident, were educated outside the U.S, and wish to enter Georgia State as a freshman, please apply following the steps below:

  1. Complete the online application and submit the non-refundable $60 application fee. You may also print, complete, and submit the PDF version of the application.
  2. Have all foreign transcripts evaluated by an Evaluation Service.
    • If you do not have your transcript(s) evaluated by Josef Silny, you must also submit the original copies of your transcripts to Georgia State.
    • If you attended an accredited school in Puerto Rico, you are not required to have your transcript evaluated. Please have an official high school transcript sent to Georgia State.
  3. Have your official SAT/ACT test scores submitted electronically to Georgia State.
    • In order to be considered for admission, you must meet our minimum test score requirements mandated by the University Board of Regents:
      • SAT : 430 Critical Reading, 400 Math
      • ACT: 17 English, 17 Math, 17 Composite Score
    • If you are from Puerto Rico, or if your first language is not English, and you do not meet our minimum English test score requirements, please submit your TOEFL or GSTEP scores.
