Freshmen: Non-Immigrant Visa
If you are holding a non-immigrant visa, have attended high school outside the United States, and wish to enter Georgia State as a freshman, please apply following the steps below:
- Complete the online application and submit the non-refundable $60 application fee. You may also print, complete, and submit the PDF version of the application.
- Have all foreign transcripts evaluated by an Evaluation Service.
- Students who do not have their transcripts evaluated by Josef Silny must also submit the original copies of their transcripts to Georgia State.
- Have your official SAT/ACT test scores submitted electronically to Georgia State.
- To be considered for admission, you must meet the minimum test score requirements mandated by the University Board of Regents:
- SAT: 430 Critical Reading, 400 Math
- ACT: 17 English, 17 Math, and 17 Composite Score
- If English is not your first language and you do not meet our minimum Critical Reading/English requirements on the SAT or ACT, you must submit your TOEFL or GSTEP scores.
- If you are on a non-immigrant visa, you must submit a copy of your I-94 card or U.S visa showing current status. Students on any visa type other than permanent residents are considered non-immigrant visa holders.
