The Office of Accounting Services offers advice to help support decision-making, demonstrate fiscal responsibility and accountability, and regulatory compliance to the University's employees. Through technical, financial and analytical skills, this department promote the efficient use and stewardship of University resources and compliance with laws, regulations and reporting requirements.
The Office of Disbursements and Accounts Payable and Travel Services promotes fiscal responsibility and accountability over the expenditure of University funds by providing advice to the University community on policies relating to the expenditure process (including travel), paying University vendors, tax accounting, and recording and reporting vendor payments in compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Office of Financial Reporting and Asset Accounting Services provides various internal and external reports to help support University decision making and to meet state and federal reporting requirements. In addition, the Office helps support the stewardship and safeguarding of University equipment and assets in compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
The Office of Revenue, Receivable and Cashiering Services provides cashiering services as well as accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting and meets the regulatory requirements for revenues and receivables arising from student tuition and fees, financial aid programs, and University department activities.
The Office of Purchasing and Business Services provides advice and support to the University community in the procurement of goods and services to promote the efficient and effective use of financial resources in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Business Services acquires, distributes materials and supplies, and ensures that University property is disposed of in compliance with applicable regulations.
The Office of Enterprise Risk Management is responsible for creating and maintaning a sustainable process to visualize, assess and manage risks accross Georgia State University to ensure the attainment of key organizational objectives.
The Technology Manager - Comptroller's Office is responsible for developing technology solutions for the departments in Financial and Accounting Services, coordinating audit examinations, and preparing financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
