Purchasing administers the laws and regulations related to the acquisition of goods and services for the University.
The department's authority comes from the Department of Administrative Services, the Georgia Technology Authority and the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.
In addition to following internal guidelines and policies, Purchasing is charged with the proper execution of the laws of the State of Georgia, as well as the policies and procedures promulgated by the D.O.A.S, the G.T.A. and the Board of Regents.
