Major/Minor: Journalism with a minor in Hospitality Administration

I chose to attend Georgia State University because of its diversity! I looked into numerous colleges and Georgia State was the only University that promoted and spoke of diversity where it was actually visible during my tour of their campus.

Campus Activities and Organizations: I am very involved on campus. I am the Student Government Associate Vice President of Student Life, Economic Empowerment Initiative Director of Campus Programs, Habitat for Humanity Member, Circle K Programs Chair, Student Manager for the Men’s Basketball team, and also a member of the Lead Team.

Most memorable Georgia State experience: My most memorable experience here at Georgia State has to be when I was elected as a senator for the Student Government Association by the student body. I was shocked that so many people participated in the voting event and cared about my issues as much as I did.

If you could be a cartoon character, who would you be and why? I would be Minnie Mouse. She just seems like a great character, she doesn't say much but you always feel her presence and she is a major character for Walt Disney! I also love the fact that she always smiles!

Favorite Georgia State tradition: I love going to the basketball games dressed in Georgia State apparel, cheering for our team to win. The suspense is the best part of the game and rubbing the bronze panther statue is becoming more of a tradition.

What advice would you give to incoming students? Become Involved! I cannot stress that enough. The more involved you are the better your time here will be! You'll love going to classes and interacting with other students versus just going to class each day! Your college experience will only be as exciting as you make it and getting involved will make it that much better!

After I graduate from Georgia State, I hope to move to Miami and pursue my acting career! Just kidding! I plan on moving to California, Florida, or Texas and pursue my J.D. and master’s in Communication. I then plan on getting a job at a law firm and working up the totem pole.
