Incept, the New Student Orientation Program is designed to help new students make that critical adjustment to college life.
Incepts are held during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, and give new students the opportunity to meet future classmates, faculty and staff; consult with academic advisors; obtain a class schedule; tour the Georgia State University campus; and get answers to all their questions and concerns.

The Indian Creek Recreation area offers the Georgia State community a large swimming pool and snack bar (summer semester use only), the large rustic Indian Creek Lodge, picnic grounds, sand volleyball court, tennis courts and Challenge Program ropes course. Picnic areas and tennis and sand volleyball courts are available daily, year-round, on a first-come, first-served basis. The ICRA pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
