Panthers Play Ragin’ Cajuns At Home
The Georgia State football team plays The University of Louisiana at Lafayette at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Georgia Dome.
There will be several special promotions for the game, including a halftime drop of vouchers for prizes, including a semester of in-state tuition, housing for one semester, parking for one semester, a meal plan for one semester, an iPad mini and more. Georgia State students need to check in at Gate A before 2 p.m. to qualify for the drop sponsored by Georgia’s Own Credit Union Financial Fix.
The game will also feature Hometown Hero Appreciation Day. Heroes will be recognized throughout the game in the categories of military, public service/EMT, education and My Hero. Attendees can also take part in a canned food drive for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Each person who donates a canned food item will get a voucher for a men’s or women’s non-conference basketball game ticket.
As always, the Alumni Association will host a tailgate before the game in the Orange Lot. The event includes food, giveaways and special guests. Activities start two hours before kickoff. The event is free for Alumni Association members and children 3 and under. Cost is $5 for the first guest of a member and children ages 4-12, and all other guests are $10. Tickets for Panthers home games are free for Georgia State students. For others, single-game tickets are as low as $10.
