Crisis Communications Expert Speaks on Campus
Judy Smith, the inspiration behind the TV series “Scandal,” is the first Distinguished Speaker Series guest of the 2013-14 series.
Smith, founder and president of the crisis communications firm Smith & Co., has been a consultant to high-profile figures such as Monica Lewinsky, Michael Vick and most recently, celebrity chef Paula Deen.
Smith will speak in the Student Center Ballroom at 3 p.m. on Sept. 25. A book signing will follow her talk.
This fall’s Distinguished Speaker Series events are a part of Georgia State’s Centennial Celebration.
Distinguished Speaker Series events are free and open to Georgia State University students, faculty, staff and the public. More information about the series will be available at the Campus Events website.
