Welcome Digital Aquarium

The Digital Aquarium is an open-access multimedia computer lab, providing high-end workstations for all Georgia State University students, regardless of their academic major. Our workstations are equipped with the multimedia production tools needed to support current and future academic programs. Resources include 3D, video, audio, graphic design and animation tools that allow students to develop music, movies, interactive media, web sites and virtual worlds.

Georgia State students from Stan Anderson's Advanced Typography course are being featured on CNN.com as part of this historical election with their typographical presidential portraits. Take a look! Many of these were created at the Digital Aquarium using our Graphic Design Tablets along with our Adobe Illustrator training and support.

Join the Digital Aquarium's Facebook Group

Please join the Digital Aquarium Facebook Group, and invite GSU students, staff and faculty to do the same. We will use the Facebook Group to send out monthly announcements, such as our workshop schedules and event notices. It will also be a good way for media producers to network and collaborate on campus. You will need to be a member of the Georgia State University Group to be able to join.

Workshops

The Digital Aquarium offers a wide range of multimedia workshops designed for beginners. The workshops provide an introduction to multimedia tools, such as video and photo cameras, audio recording, video editing and graphic design. All workshops are free and open to all Georgia State students, staff and faculty. Our workshop schedule changes monthly.

Did you know?
All Georgia State students can check out digital still and digital video cameras. The Aquarium also has many accessories such as tripods, mics and lights. Students must attend a one hour camera certification workshop. Sign up in person at the Aquarium or over the phone.
