Accessing the Spectrum System from the Macintosh workstation:

To access Spectrum, you must install the citrix client on your workstation, and then launch the Spectrum System

1. Installing the Citrix ICA Client on your workstation:

Step A. Download and Save the Client:

• Go to http://www.citrix.com
• Select Download,
  • Select Clients.
  • Under Macintosh All Versions, select OS X.
• Under Available Versions, locate the full installation version (not the update version), and then select Get Software.
• Select Yes to the End-User License Agreement.
• Select Download Here.
  The file is automatically downloaded to your desktop.
  Close all open windows and your Web Browser.

Step B. Install the Client:

• Create a Citrix installation folder on your desktop.
• Double-click on the downloaded macICA disk image on your downloaded or desktop location.
• Hold down the option key, and drag a copy of the Citrix ICA Client (the copy mounted on your desktop) to your installation folder (also on your desktop)..
  If the Citrix ICA Client desktop mounted volume does not open the Citrix ICA Client window, then from your desktop, double-click on the Citrix ICA Client volume icon.
• Double-click on the Citrix ICA Client folder (from the Citrix ICA Client window).
• Double-click on the Citrix ICA Client Editor.
  If the Citrix Client Software License Agreement appears, click Accept.
• Under Network Connection Tab:
  • Click on the Default Settings.. button:
    • Under Network Protocol, use the Radio button to ensure that TCP/IP is selected.
    • Under Encryption Level, use the Radio button to ensure that Basic is selected.
    • Under Server Group, use the Radio button to ensure that Primary is selected.
    • Under Address List, click on Add.
  • In the Server Address window, enter citrix.gsu.edu.
  • Click OK, and then Save.
  • Select Published Application.
  • Click on the Browse... button, choose Spectrum, click Select, and then click Save.
  • In Save, confirm that you are saving to your desktop, and then click Save.
• Select the Window Tab:
  • Under Window Size, uncheck Use Default.
    • Use the radio button to select your preferred window size.
    • Click Save.
• Select the Network Connection tab:
  • Select Quit.
    Close the Citrix Client window.
    

2. Launch the Spectrum System:

• Go to your desktop, and double-click on the Spectrum icon.
• Review the GSU Legal Notice, and click OK to continue.
• Enter your Novell userid/password, and click OK to continue.
  If you get an error message at this point, please record the message and contact the Help Center.
• Under the PeopleSoft Signon screen:
  • Enter your Operator ID and Password.
  • Click OK to login to your session.
